as a kiddo, i confidently knew that my future would entail being a high powered executive in some massive corporation. i would be the suit wearing type, always clad in heels that distinctively clicked and clacked as i made my way around the office.

i am still angling my way toward the “high powered executive” part of the story, but am well on my way heels and all. i love the corporate life – the business world is endlessly intriguing with its complexities and challenges but it doesn’t have to be drab and i don’t need to wear ugly, gray suits. it can be livened up, and indeed, i happily click and clack my way through my office trying to bring some life and color into the traditionally conservative corridors of washington DC, where i work and live.

so then there’s this site, ahhhmazing. my goal for the blog is simple:

share things i discover, create or buy that i find to be… ahhhmazing.

it’s clothes and shoes, which i love dearly – but you’ll find that i’m fairly practical about what i buy and put on everyday. i’m inspired by runway looks yet not a slave to designers which means that my pocketbook (and husband) thank me for that. plus when you’re a corporate gal working in DC, you modify for your surroundings… after all, appropriate is a word we should all strive to be called and happily be called.

and ahhhmazing is also about my creative projects – i’ve always needed side gigs to keep me busy outside of the 9 to 5. i’ve blogged professionally and that’s been fun. but as for a true creative outlet? i’ve long been itching to keep stretching and pushing myself creatively beyond the writing. so i own a project runway special edition brother sewing machine (ha! really!) that i’m trying to use for projects. and here, i’ll document some of that along with other neat things i make, or am inspired to make.

thanks for reading along. if you’d like to connect, just ping me via twitter, or send me an email.
